From March 2020 to Feb 2022, the pandemic kept me from returning to the US for in-person classes. Instead, I spent that time traveling across China with friends while attending online courses remotely. This period became more than just a temporary adjustment—it was the beginning of my journey into street photography. As I moved from city to city—Beijing, Xian, Zhengzhou, Xinjiang, Qingdao, Yantai, and beyond—I found myself drawn to capturing the moments on the streets and the unnoticed details of everyday life.
I still remember the mornings spent reading photography books, then heading out in the afternoons to explore unfamiliar streets with my camera, experimenting and learning along the way. Now, as I look back and sort through these images, I not only revisit those moments but also recognize how much I’ve grown……
